In 1885, Frank Maron, born and classically educated in Germany, established Globe College. It was Mr. Maron's goal to provide a practical alternative for young men and women - higher education focused on business skills. In 2007, the institution became known as Globe University, and today prepares students for careers in business, health science, technology, legal science and creative production.
Globe University has campuses in downtown Minneapolis (IDS Tower) and Woodbury, Minnesota; Eau Claire, Wisconsin; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and online. Graduates receive diplomas, associate degrees, baccalaureate degrees, post-baccalaureate certificates and master's degrees. The institution's mission is to provide knowledge and skills that meet business, industry and government needs, enabling graduates to reach their career and life goals.
The student is always the focus at Globe University. Students have the flexibility they need to fit higher education into their busy lifestyles. Classes are offered in day and evening hours, at multiple campuses and through an online platform. Extensive academic support makes it possible for students to achieve their highest potential, and personalized career services support graduates in their job searches.
To ensure training in a field aligns closely with employer needs, the school assembles employers in that field to form a program advisory board. The board provides current, detailed information on employer expectations, changing job requirements and short and long-term employment outlooks. Globe University responds swiftly to board recommendations for program changes.
