All MCCA member institutions are either regionally or nationally accredited by agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Enrollment    (1)

 

In Fall 2012, the total undergraduate enrollment at private career colleges was 25,504 with 59% of the students 25 and older and 22% students of color.  Graduate student enrollment was 1,196.  Of the 2012 Minnesota high school graduates, 3% (893) enrolled at private career colleges.

 

Tuition and Fees   (1)

 

In 2012-2013 , the average published tuition and fees at two-year private career colleges was $16,523 and $15,116 at four-year private career colleges

 

Graduation Rates   (1)

 

In 2012,  the three year graduation rate for two-year private career colleges was 66%.

 

Awards Conferred  (3)

 

In 2011 - 2012, Minnesota private career colleges awarded 17% of certificates  and 21% of Associate degrees conferred to Minnesota graduates.

 

Default Rates  (1)

 

In 2011, the default rate for Minnesota private career colleges was 10% while the default rate for all Minnesota colleges was 9%

 

Minnesota State Grant (3)

In the grant year ending 6/30/2012, private career colleges had 14% of the total state grant recipients and those students received 11% of the total grant dollars awarded.  73% of these students where independent.

Of the state grant recipients attending private career colleges , 29.7% had adjusted gross incomes of less than $10,000 and 51% had adjusted gross incomes less than $20,000
