For Legislators

Meet Randy Morris, our lobbyist

Randy Morris is the lobbyist for the Minnesota Career College Association and has represented the Association since 1998. Over those fifteen years, he has defended the sector from attacks on access to state grants for proprietary students, as well as representing MCCA on numerous other higher education issues.

In 1981, he began representing clients before the Minnesota Legislature and state agencies. 2013 will mark his 33rd year as a state lobbyist representing a wide variety of clients. His approach is bipartisan, working with legislators in both parties to advocate positions taken by the MCCA. His legal training helps provide expertise in statutory interpretation and research.

Mr. Morris has served as a partner with two different law firms before starting his own consulting firm, Randy Morris Minnesota Government Relations LLC, in March 2009.
